NOTE:  In addition to completing the courses outlined above that are parts of the RTR curriculum for the Secondary Track, some residents may need to take additional courses to meet the requirements for the Master of Teaching (MT) degree in their content area.  These courses must be completed before the resident can be hired as the teacher of record in RPS.  It is the responsibility of the resident to register for these courses and pay for them.  In some cases, a resident may have to take courses from another institution if VCU does not offer the course in time to meet hiring deadlines.
